Peter C. Brockway

Peter Brockway was among the first professionals to be active in the private equity industry in the southeastern United States. Over a 30-year career in private investments, Mr. Brockway and his colleagues have partnered with numerous middle market companies in diverse industries to grow their businesses through geographic expansion, new product introductions, expanded marketing efforts and through tightly integrated add-on strategic acquisitions, among other value-building strategies.

Mr. Brockway serves as Executive in Residence at Wake Forest University. In conjunction with the School of Business faculty, he developed a course on Private Equity in 2017 and co-teaches the course. As part of this semester-long course, a number of leading private equity professionals visit the classroom to interact with students.

At the beginning of Mr. Brockway’s career, in the mid-1980s, he became an executive with Trivest, in Miami, Florida, the oldest private equity firm in the Southeast. Subsequently, in 1998, Mr. Brockway and a number of colleagues founded Brockway Moran & Partners, a private equity firm that has raised three private equity funds totaling over $1.3 billion in capital and has had multiple funds that are ranked in the top quartile for their vintage. The firm has completed approximately 100 acquisitions in a variety of industries. Brockway Moran built, in concert with a number of talented management teams, a variety of industry leading firms over its two-decade-long history.

Mr. Brockway also served for five years as a Senior Advisor to Blue Sea Capital, beginning with its founding in 2013, a firm whose inaugural fund raised $325 million in committed capital.

Mr. Brockway serves as a Trustee of Wake Forest University, and a Director of Boca Helping Hands and the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation. He also serves as Chair of the Boca Helping Hands Endowment Fund.
