Peter Klein was among the first professionals to be active in the private equity industry in the southeastern United States, beginning in the mid-1980’s. He is a corporate and transactional attorney with over thirty years of corporate and middle market mergers and acquisitions experience. His experience ranges from add-on acquisitions to complex acquisitions and dispositions of both privately held and public companies, including related financing transactions and complex cross-border transactions.
Mr. Klein serves as General Counsel to Brockway Group. He has served as a partner and general counsel of Brockway Moran & Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in Boca Raton, Florida, since 2000.
Prior to that, Mr. Klein spent nearly 14 years with Trivest, a middle-market private equity firm based in Miami, Florida, where he served as Managing Director and General Counsel. Before joining Trivest, Mr. Klein practiced law in Chicago, Illinois and Cleveland, Ohio.
In late 2014, Mr. Klein formed Peter W. Klein, P.A., a corporate and transactional boutique law firm primarily representing private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
Mr. Klein earned his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law. He serves on the Board of Visitors of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
